Re: GetUp's 'Be Climate Clever-Er' TV Ad;

Congrats on some great ad's, good see them making a difference, Keep up the good work!

On another note I want to question part of GetUp's (Australia) 'Be Climate Clever-Er' TV Ad.

In it they satire Nuclear power with an actor playing a government official making this comment, "and we're working on changing nuclear to nice and happy nuclear"; insinuating that it is anything but.

My question is what other option do we have to replace coal, in the short term, as a major energy source. Yes there are obviously issues with nuclear, not least with waste, but from what I understand it is better than coal. Renewables would be great but at present they are too expensive, temperamental and not efficient enough to be a major power source.

Environmental and advocacy organisations have demonised anything nuclear (forgetting that modern medicine would be very different without it) meaning that in Italy they are building more coal powered power plants, having no other option (according to an International Herald Tribune Article in April). I think this is dangerous and could make tackling climate change more diffucult.

I'm interested to hear your views,

Regards,
Dylan Quinnell

The catastrophic effects of global warming effect everyone; even you. No one's personal wealth will protect them forever from the far reaching influence of how nature will deal with our misuse of air quality. For once, you must represent your nation in being a leader with integrity rather than a leader who is only concerned about his own special interests.

Phil Aldrick:

It is amazing that so many people are making such a fuss all over this plannet, that all the G8 world leaders are meeting, and willing to spend billions of $'s to solve the climate change
problems, when all that is required is a little chat with Dad.

You see Dad created everything and only he knows how to fix it.

2Chronicles chapter 7 verse 14 shows us that the Heavenly Father has promised to heal our lands if we will humble ourselves and pray.

Read it, believe it, and see it. Only one thing, remember, Jesus spoke and said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life and there is no other way to the Father except through Me (Jesus).

Have a chat with Him and find out for yourselves.

I have and found it to be TRUTH.

Hopefully politicans will respond to humour. They certainly seem unable to understand basic science, and imminent peril.
How did they ever get to drive the Titanic!
