Days to stop the Uganda anti-gay attack

To President Museveni of Uganda, Members of the Review Committee, Parliament, and donor governments:

We stand with citizens across Uganda who are calling on their government to withdraw the Anti-Homosexual Bill, and to protect the universal human rights embodied in the Ugandan constitution. We urge Uganda’s leaders and donors to join us in rejecting persecution and upholding values of justice and tolerance.

We've just heard -- Uganda’s anti-gay bill was reintroduced in Parliament with the penalty of life in prison!

We stopped this before: first, 800,000 of us forced Uganda's president to step in and silence the hate, when it returned with a vengeance, an amazing 1.2 million of us led a global outcry that stalled the anti-gay bill’s final vote until time ran out. Now it's back and it's going to take an unprecedented wave of opposition to kill this bill for good.

We know that massive global pressure on Ugandan legislators works. Sign the urgent petition by clicking to the right, then send to everyone you know and urge them to join in the fight to stop the persecution and life imprisonment of gay Ugandans before it's too late -- together we can beat this!
