Starting on Monday, delegates from every country in the world will begin 5 days of negotiations for a new global climate treaty, here in Barcelona. It’s a last-minute meeting to break the deadlock before final negotiations begin in Copenhagen on December 7th. The stakes are high, but these delegates are sleepwalking their way through the meetings. Let’s literally wake them up! This Monday, come to the Hotel Fira Congress from 7:45-8:45am to literally sound the climate alarm. At this fun and effective action, hundreds of us will hold alarm clocks that will go off simultaneously at 8:30am, just as delegates are arriving for the beginning of the meeting.
