Now Oi wants to kill the Internet

It's unbelievable! Now our Internet is at risk in Brazil. Last year, we won a major victory when telecom regulator ANATEL approved strict new Internet quality standards that guarantee all of us fast and reliable Internet service. But now Oi Telecom, one of the largest Internet providers in Brazil, is about to gut these new standards and send us back to the days of slow or non-existent Internet service unless we act before February 1st to stop them.

Oi wants to maximize its profits and deprive us of decent Internet, but we can stop them. ANATEL is asking for public comment on Oi’s request, giving us a chance to keep these great new rules if we show ANATEL that they have massive public support.

Brazilians have already said a big “yes” to these quality standards before, but we need to do it again in order to protect our victory. We have one week to flood ANATEL with thousands of messages asking the board of directors to stand up to Oi’s bullying and protect quality Internet service for all Brazilians. Send a message to ANATEL now.
