Climate Change: the road to Bali

On November 5, thousands of climate activists met in Washington DC to push US Congress for climate action. Avaaz members from around the world rallied with them by signing the petition and sending personal messages of support. The activists took our messages and hand delivered them to members of Congress. Then, in front of the media, Avaaz got on stage to deliver our petition to Representative Markey, head of the US committee on climate change and energy.
This year, we’ve built the world's biggest climate movement. We’ve fought for climate action at the G8 and APEC summits, and delivered our petition to governments in Germany, Brazil and the UK. But now, more than ever, it’s crucial that we maintain our momentum. In less than a month U.N. climate negotiations begin in Bali, Indonesia.
