PM Singh: don't sell out our safety

The Indian government wants to pass a bill that would remove responsibility from US companies for nuclear accidents, and will vote on it in the upcoming days. If the bill passes, US companies will have an incentive not to invest in nuclear safety, and will save money at the expense of the Indian people. Bhophal survivors are still waiting for compensation--we can't let this happen again.

Without any public debate, the Prime Minister is appeasing American interests and ignoring our safety. Sign this petition to ask the PM to hold a public consultation before the vote on this bill.

Petition to Prime Minister Singh:: India must hold a public consultation before changing the liability rules for any nuclear accidents caused by U.S. corporations.
