Ariel University Out of Illegally Occupied Palestinian Territory in West Bank
Ariel University is beyond the Green Line in a settlement that is illegal according to international law. Established first as a regional college in 1983 in Kdumin in Samaria, today Ariel University is the biggest Israeli University and it is located in West Bank, Palestine!
Based on United Nations Resolution 242, which requires Israel to return to pre- June 1967 borders and under International Law that consider Gaza Strip, West Bank and East Jerusalem as "occupied Palestinian territory"; European Union at last brought new guidelines in place which refuses to have any business with any Israeli institution that has any connections with the occupied territory.
At this point in time, when finally EU decided to take an action by these new guidelines; our combined voices in a global scale will make a difference. I think it is time for the international community to make a stand for the Palestinian people, therefore as a beginning, I ask you to sign this petition to get one of Israeli institutions in illegally occupied Palestinian territory, Ariel University, to pack up and leave!
A university should be a place where knowledge is furthered and this cannot be done while standing on hundreds of thousands of murdered, tortured and exiled Palestinians', on illegally, unlawfully and brutally invaded Palestine.
It is clear from human history that we ordinary people feel powerless to make a stand, before plucking up the courage to send the perpetrators to the dustbin of the history, but enough is enough! Please join your voice with mine to demand "Ariel University out of Palestine, NOW!"
This demand of the citizens of the World is in accordance with:
United Nations Resolution 242, which requires Israel to return to the pre-June 1967 “Green Line” borders;
International Law that declare the invasion of Gaza Strip, West Bank and East Jerusalem as “occupied Palestinian territory” that Israel has no legal claim upon;
United Nations - Security Council’s repeated condemnation of Israel’s attempts to annex these occupied territories as “illegal, null and void”.
Ariel University, vacate your premises on West Bank, that are a violation of Geneva Conventions and Get Out of Palestine!
