Australian Politicians Must Protect Julian Assange from Extradition

Any day now Julian may be forcibly extradited to Sweden where a smear campaign is in full swing against him. Sweden and USA have been talking and planning his handover. This is a critical moment for a rare Australian who deserves our support and solidarity. Australia should be proud of Julian Assange and his brave team's work to expose deceit and corruption and actively protecting him, rather than their own political sycophancy to the USA. Do NOT let apathy rule the moment and merely the history books of the future praise this vital work. Let us stand together and show that we are angry that our political "leaders" do not have the gall to stand up to the crumbling empire of America on this. Even Malcolm Fraser and John Howard have said their positive piece about Assange - current leaders are afraid to offend any US diplomatic relations, at the expense of honour, freedom of speech, freedom of information and the protection of a highly intelligent and valuable Australian Journalist Citizen.
