This petition is a "Call to Action" to preserve and further the Punjabi language in Pakistan, particularly in the province of Punjab where over 75% speak Punjabi as their mother tongue. Punjabi is also the largest language in Pakistan by the number of speakers. We ask the Provincial Assembly of Punjab to give official status to the language including allowing debate in Punjabi in the Assembly, educating students in Punjabi language and to take steps to make Punjabi an official language in the Province and to provide services to citizens in Punjabi.
