As part of the Mayor's vision and budget proposals, it has been suggested that St Pauls Learning and Family Centre be closed.
St Pauls Learning and Family Centre has been open for almost 10 years and in that time provided a wide range of basic education in ESOL classes, to more specialised education and training which prepares people for Foundation and University level courses. Our students have gone on to further and higher education, as well as set up businesses of their own and become freelancers, thus contributing to the workforce. This absolutely fits in with the Mayor's vision to keep Bristol working and learning. The Centre provides Education, training and skills access and ensures we are central to Bristol being this learning city the Mayor wants. It is our uniqueness that can ensure we stay relevant, as we have the only public access darkroom open 7 days a week in the South West, a fully accessible training kitchen, a library, Creche facitities, several training rooms all with disability access and much, much more.
