Justice for YAKUP KOSE: CHANGE THE ANTI TERROR LAW/YAKUP KOSE'YE OZGURLUK

Yakup Kose was a 14 year old school boy, One day , after leaving school he attended a local protest and there he imitated the signs the protestors were making. Following this Yakup was arrested, sentenced to death and being accusd of being a member of an illegal organisation, which he had never heard of before going to prison. He spent 10 years in prison with adult inmates. He was tortured physically and mentally.

While Yakup was in prison, in 2000 the Turkish state organised a brutal operation against prisoners in many prisons called Noel Baba (Santa Clause) and Yakup was badly injured and was transferred to another F type prison. After spending 10 years in adult prison Yakup was released but another trial opened against him demanding that on a large scale of weapons were found in the cell where Yakup was transferred into after operation.
The Turkish 9th Supreme Court of Appeals decided on the 25th December 2013 to imprison Yakup Kose for an addition of 7 years and 10 months, for the crime, which he never committed and there is no evidence to support their accusation.
Same Supreme Court had made a similar decision for Sociologist Pinar Selek, where they had no evidence to prove her guilty.

Yakup Kose henuz 14 yasindayken okuldan eve donerken katildigi bir protestoda, protestocularin yaptigi isaretleri yaptigi icin tutuklandi ve adini cezaevine girene kadar duymadigi bir orgut uyeliginden idama mahkum edildi.

1999 "Hayata Donus" operasyonu adi altinda cezaevlerine donuk yapilan katliamdan kisa bir sure sonra ayni amacla 2000 yilinda gerceklesen "Noel Baba" operasyonunda yaralanip, baska bir cezaevine nakledildi ve hucreye atildi. 14 yasinda girdigi cezaevinden 24 yasinda cikti. Ciktiktan sonra operasyondan sonra atildigi hucrede bir boluge yetecek kadar silah bulundugu ve bunlarin Yakup'a ait oldugu iddia edildi. 25 Aralik 2013 Tarihinde Yargitay 9. Daire Baskanligi Yakup Kose'nin davasini karara bagladi. Buna gore 7 yil 10 ay daha hapis yatmasi gerekiyor. Islemedigi bir suctan dolayi cocuklugu calinan Yakup'un bu kez de gelecegi calinmasin diye TC Adalet Bakanligi'na acil cagrida bulunuyoruz. Pinar Selek davasini da hicbir delil olmadan aleyhte karara baglayan Yargitay 9. Daire Baskanligi'nin aldigi tum benzer kararlarin iptali ve TMK yasasinin kaldirilmasini talep ediyoruz.
