Sign for legalization of civil partnerships in Poland!
In Poland there is no law allowing people to be together in legalized civil partnership independent of their sexual orientation. On July 24th, a majority of MP's in Polish Parliament blocked a debate on newly proposed draft on civil partnership laws in Poland.
The proposals aim to recognize civil partnerships of any couples – regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. This is a much needed chance for the Polish LGBT community to finally be legally recognized as loving couples who deserve equality.
It is of
utmost importance that the Polish Parliament understand that this is not just a
Polish issue - that this is an issue of international human rights, one that is
important to everyone.
The governement party PO announced to bring a new bill addressing legalization of civil partnerships after the summer break. For this reason we continue with this petition till the civil partnership law will be accepted by MP's in Sejm. We need any single signature to show responsible politicians the international awarenees and support from all people over the world for basic human rights as an expression of respect and acceptance of different forms of partnerships including same-sex couples.
We ask you to add your voice in solidarity, to send a message to the Polish Parliament. Help us convince them that Poland deserves a civil partnership law!
