Dental Amalgam is one of the largest sources of mercury exposure, which can cause fertility problems, alzheimer's disease, kidney failure and even death.

Dental Amalgam, which is used for teeth fillings in Bangaldesh, contains 50% mercury. Mercury is highly toxic with severe health impacts. Additionally, dental amalgam contributes to the build up of mercury in the environment.

There are better and safer filling materials available, however regulations are desperately needed to ban dental amalgam and go for mercury free dentistry.
