Protect turtles and the conservationists protecting them in Costa Rica

Recently, a turtle conservationist was murdered while patrolling the beaches on the Caribbean coast. Last year, in the same area, a turtle hatchery was robbed at gun point. There is little that the Costa Rican government is doing to protect turtles and the people that are trying to help protect those turtles. The Costa Rican government must make an effort to help or the turtles will be eradicated from this critical nesting habitat. The laws exist but without enforcement, they mean nothing. The level of violence has continued to escalate to the point that conservationist organizations have to walk away. The poachers have effectively won the battle at this point in time.
