Chief Minister of Goa, India

The government of Goa is going ahead with a new airport at Mopa in North Goa against the wishes of its people. Dabolim is currently the civilian airport of Goa and is being illegally occupied by the Indian Navy. Instead of developing the centrally located Dabolim airport, the government is developing an airport closer to the Maharashtra border. It is alleged that many top politicians in Goa and the builder lobby have grabbed land in and around Mopa and it is a real estate scam.
