Le ministre du Redressement productif, Arnault Montebourg a délivré un permis d’exploitation minier à la société Rexma pour extraire de l’or dans le Parc National Guyanais.

Le permis autorise une exploitation qui se situe dans une zone non autorisée au développement d’activités minières par le Schéma départemental d’orientation minière (SDOM) de la Guyane.

Il n’y a pas d’exploitation aurifère propre. La préservation de l’environnement doit passer avant le profit. L’éco-tourisme est un moyen durable et respectueux pour développer la commune de Saul.

[URGENT] Il faut agir maintenant, et se mobiliser pour que le permis minier soit révoqué.

I am from French Guiana, and I don't want the environment to be destroyed in favor of profit.
Gold mining destroys the forest. The permit that was granted does not respect the will of the local community. Moreover the permit was issued for a zone where mining is prohibited.
