UNESCO has no right to approve or influence the mining of Uranium in Tanzania. The fact that they are doing so, and in a particularly detrimental manner, getting the government of Tanzania to agree to destroying a small portion of a World Heritage Site, is unacceptable and should be so to all environmentalists and East Africans.
