Support for Parliamentarians that think differently than Harper and the PMO.

Being a political activist isn’t just opposing Government. We must be in tune with circumstances such that we support those whom have made good and symbolic decisions that stand for correct principles of democracy.

Brent Rathgeber quit the Conservative caucus so he could have a real say in Parliament and not be tethered to the talking points and script of the PMO. Let us not let Brent Rathgeber stand alone as he is bound to be attacked by the Conservative Government. He will not be permitted to go unscathed for his rebellion. The attack that will happen will be prescribed to teach every other Conservative back bencher a lesson. Any other backbencher thinking about stepping outside the PMO box, will fear the repercussions that will befall them if they also feel a notion of speaking up for their constituents and not for their undemocratic Party machine.

Democracy is where a people elect a representative and the representative speaks on behave of his/her constituents. Parties on the other hand want their members to listen to their edicts, very often in direct opposition to the members’ constituents’ wishes. The Party System relies on control to maintain the power of this undemocratic system. We must try to protect those who defy these controls and to make it safe for other to have enough courage to also represent only their constituents.Please show your support for real Democracy and Brent and any others that may wish to leave the Conservative caucus. Backbenchers need to know of the public approval of their actions and our disdain for the stifling Party System.
