Whilst in total agreement that immigration has to be controlled, the new immigration laws are inflexible and ill-conceived.

The British Government pushed these new rules through Parliament without proper consultation, or debate and hastily implemented them. We believe that the new rules are too rigid to be applied in all cases.

The sole income of the sponsor of 18,600 GBP is unfair and unachievable for some British Senior Citizens who are married to a foreign national and have extenuating circumstances. It is extremely harsh that a permanent member of the household cannot contribute to the new financial requirement. We believe the new financial ruling regarding Visa applications is unjust.

We, the undersigned, support Eileen and Nusret Bora in their desire to return to England to live amongst family and friends.

We want the UK Home Office to review cases on merit in specific circumstances.
