To the governments of democratic countries
We, who share the common belief that aggression is never the right strategy in global politics,
appeal to all decision-makers from democratic countries - including the United Kingdom & the United States of America - signatories of the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances (1994):
Time has run out for only economic sanctions, visa restriction lists or the expression of concern.
It is time to stand firm behind Ukraine and support in all ways its integrity and independence - including the support in defending Ukrainian territory.
We also call for supporting Ukraine in restoring its economy - understanding that all support must be followed by economic and political reforms demanded by thousands of Ukrainians in protests started in November 2013.
We need to show our practical solidarity with Ukrainian people who bravely stood up for the universal values not only for Ukraine but for all of us. If we all fail to stand together for Ukraine now - tomorrow, security, respecting borders, and freedom will no longer be guaranteed to any of us.
