Free Speech Under Threat
In 24 hours, Chicago's City Council will vote on new laws that all but eliminate free speech around the G8 and NATO conferences where some of the most important decisions about our planet's future are made -- if we act fast, we can stop them.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel is trying to push through a bill that would require everyone to pre-register their signs and banners, buy one million dollars of insurance before assembling, and march without any amplification equipment -- making it almost impossible for anyone to exercise their right to free speech during the G8 and NATO. But he has to get the City Council on board first.

Councilors are already feeling the heat from local free speech advocates. Let's amplify their call and make it clear that the world is watching -- once we reach 50,000 signers, members on the ground will deliver our petition directly to the Council and crash the vote before it's too late! Click here to sign the petition and forward to everyone.
