London G20 Summit: Put people first!
|
UPDATE: The summit is over, click here to find out what happened. The world is in economic meltdown, and leaders are meeting at the crucial G20 London Summit next week to decide what to do. It's time to tell them they can't continue with business as usual -- they have to fix the system and build a more sustainable future. Let’s join in a global online march to press the G20 to put people first -- our worldwide call will be carried to the streets by tens of thousands of people in a real march through central London, wearing green hard hats to symbolise green jobs and a sustainable recovery and carrying flags and banners; then we’ll deliver it to summit officials and leaders. The global media will be in London to cover this summit, so our march could get big coverage and make a real difference. Wherever you are, you can participate via your computer by adding your details below:
To G20 leaders at the London Summit:
We call on you to agree a global rescue package that puts people first -- to stimulate, regulate and fundamentally reform the global economy, and to invest in a sustainable green recovery. Join the global online march! |
We don't need to go to London or march on the streets to join this global online march -- it's as easy as signing a petition, we can do it wherever we are -- but our voices from around the world will be delivered to leaders and reinforce the many thousands who do march on the streets of London on our behalf! |
