Saudi Arabia: Drive out inequality!

To King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al Saud:

We join with Saudi Arabian women calling on you to end the restrictions on women driving. It is crucial that women be allowed to direct their own lives and participate fully in all facets of Saudi society and political life. We urge you to make all necessary reforms to ensure their full equality.

Saudi Arabia: Drive out inequality!
Women in Saudi Arabia are forbidden from driving and have been arrested and risk being flogged when they try. But inspired by reforms across the Arab world, Saudi women are standing up for their rights -- and we can help them win!

The driving ban is defended by powerful religious extremists -- but the King wants to lift the ban. Last year he gave women the right to vote after a rare protest by local women supported by citizens across the world. The struggle for equal rights continues and in just 6 days, courageous women are taking to the streets in a national day of driving to protest the ban. By taking their drive to end discrimination global, we can embolden even more women to join the protest and give the King the support he needs to lift the ban.

Let’s create a massive virtual drive for freedom to support Saudi women on the road to equality! Join the global drive now -- when we reach 100,000 signatures, we’ll deliver the world's voices to the King and with a chorus of honking in front of Saudi embassies.
