Save the Ella Valley

To Attorney General Weinstein :

As concerned citizens we call you to investigate the pilot license given to IEI corporation to produce oil-shale in the Ella Valley. A new report raises serious questions about the approval of this project, including the possibility of conflicts of interest and other improper behavior at the highest levels of government. Under these circumstances, we see it as your professional duty to halt the pilot before any irreversible harm is done to the Ella Valley and until a full investigation is completed.

Save the Ella Valley

Beautiful Ella Valley could be permanently polluted by a dirty oil-shale project and we are running out of time to stop it. But new revelations of the project’s shady history just published this weekend give us our best chance to save the valley, if we act now.

Previous governments granted IEI company a pilot license to produce oil-shale in the Ella Valley -- one of Israel's last natural corridors with ground water which provides 30% of Israel's water. The project could potentially devastate the pristine valley and imperil our drinking water, but according to a new press report, it got approved anyway through what appear to be a series of conflicts of interest and deceptions of the public. The deal has Natan Eshel’s fingerprints all over it and questions lead all the way to PM Netanyahu’s office.

These new revelations require an investigation. If we join forces now - when the story is fresh in the news - and call on the Attorney General to open an inquiry, we still have a chance to stop the project before Ella Valley is permanently damaged. Sign the petition on the right to koin the call!
