A solution for Syria: Let’s push our call into the media!

Calls for bold US-Iran diplomacy are growing in the press. If we build on that steady drumbeat of media coverage, we can make this an option our leaders can’t ignore. Use the tool on the right to send a letter to the editor -- when you submit, it’ll automatically be emailed to major papers around the world, including the top papers in the US and Iran.

Here are some suggestions of key points to include in your letter to the Editors:
  • Bombing or impunity are not the only options.
  • Bold direct diplomacy between the US and Iran can help resolve the Syria crisis.
  • President Rouhani of Iran wants to reach out to the West and is troubled by Assad’s use of chemical weapons.
  • President Obama has historically favored talks with Iran and needs a viable path forward on Syria.
  • President Rouhani and President Obama can show great leadership by bringing the Syrian parties to the table to broker a negotiated solution as there will not be a military solution to this conflict.
