Money for Haiti, not dictators

Petition to Swiss leaders:
Swiss banks should not protect the stolen money of corrupt dictators. We, the undersigned, call on you to immediately reform Switzerland's bank laws to eliminate the statute of limitations on laws relating to assets of criminal origin. Specifically, we call on you to restore the Duvalier funds to the people of Haiti.

Switzerland's top court today delivered a painful blow to the people of Haiti: a ruling that $5.7 million in recovered stolen funds would be returned to the heirs of their former dictator.

The Swiss government has been struggling to improve their banks' global image. Officials are now calling for legislative action to overrule the court's decision and prevent future abuses. If we show we're watching and that Switzerland's reputation is on the line, Swiss reformers will have the clout to pass a strong law -- and Haiti's money will be returned.

Join the global petition to reform Switzerland's bank laws, put people over dictators, and return Duvalier's stolen money to Haiti.
