We call upon you to reject the Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Act with China. This deal would damage Canada's sovereignty and lock us into an unfair deal that would allow Chinese companies to seek damages for laws designed to protect Canadians' health, environment and more. In an outrageous outsourcing of our sovereignty, Harper is about to seal a disaster deal that could force us to fork over our tax dollars to Chinese companies if they don’t like Canadian laws that protect our health and environment.

The deal is being forced through without a single vote and no debate -- even a number of conservatives are balking at this crazy sell-out. Harper’s been caught off guard by just how furious people are, and if we give Conservative MPs the public support they need to break ranks, we could actually kill the treaty.

Harper could ratify this deal any day, but we can still stop it. If we raise 50,000 signatures against the agreement, we’ll take this show of strength to Ottawa and stage a mock Chinese takeover of Parliament.
