24 hours to get Syrian children into school

We have the chance to achieve something that will help one million Syrian children. Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey have agreed to give one million Syrian refugee children a place at school and nearly two thirds of the funds required to make it happen have been pledged.

This Thursday, the UK, Germany, Norway and Kuwait are hosting a donor conference in London. If we get them to pledge the last third, we could get all these kids into school. Let's help make that happen today by flooding key decision makers in these countries with messages, before the conference starts. Our push will show them the world is watching. Use the form on the right to send a message now.

The most powerful messages are personal and in your own words, but here are some suggestions. Remember to be polite:
  • I call on you to announce specific funding for school places for 1 million Syrian refugees in Lebanon, Turkey and Jordan in 2016.
  • This should be part of a comprehensive plan of $1.4 billion pledged annually for all Syrian children and young people affected by the conflict.
  • I urge you to support policies that ensure children, teachers and schools inside Syria and in neighbouring countries are protected from attack.
