Days to keep the Internet free
The next few days are critical to defend the Internet as we know it -- a free and equal playing field.

Verizon alone has spent $100 million in their bid to be christened internet kingmakers -- given new powers to make some sites lightning-fast (big, corporate media able to pay up) and doom startups and small media to the "slow lane".

But we're turning the tide. President Obama recently called for "the strongest possible" rules to defend internet equality, and his lead regulator is signaling he'll follow suit.

Days before regulators are expected to publish their rules, reporters are saying a "stunning victory" is within reach for Avaaz and our internet allies.

Let's finish strong with a massive push at this key decision point -- sign the petition, and when 100,000 of us join we'll run ads in key media.
