To Health Minister Philpott, Environment Minister Mckenna and PM Trudeau:

We call on you to immediately ban the use of Imidacloprid and all neonicotinoid pesticides which are known to be lethal to bees and other insects. The catastrophic demise of bee colonies could put our whole food chain in danger. If you act urgently with precaution now, we could save bees from extinction.

Nearly a third of our food comes from bees. They’re incredible, but fragile and many species are just hanging on. Now’s our best chance to save them.

Every year we coat our crops in Imidacloprid -- a chemical that’s lethal for bees and other insects. The government is on the cusp of banning it, but a giant chemical company is pushing back. If each of us joins the call to ban this bee-killing pesticide, and get our friends and family onboard too, we can give the government the massive backing it needs to stand firm.

This could be our best hope for bees, or it could spell disaster.
