The job of a mayor is not to create his own business or use his high office to advance his interest, or the interest of his friends or allies, but to serve the needs of people.
When a politician is accused of corruption, that undermines democracy, good governance and trust.

Especially, when this person shows lack of morality and refuses to resign, searching for ways to obstruct the ongoing investigation.
This kind of behavior resembles to dictatorship, and this is something we cannot allow in a society with high ethical values.

The people of Maribor want back their hometown and will not permit yet another violation of the rule of law.
