We live in a world based on ideas- civilisations are based on ideas and principles, from the Chinese, to the Greeks, to Islam, to America, every civilisation is defined by the idea of who it is.
Today, we live in a global community, where all our actions affect each other.
Giving the Nobel Peace Prize to Planet Earth will give everyone a chance to reflect on our relationship with the planet we 100% depend on and take for granted.
We desperately need to re-balance our relationship with Planet Earth if WE are to survive. The Earth will survive us, it will recover, it has time. Our fate, not the planet's is in our hands.
Ideas and symbols can change the world. Let's honor our only home as a prelude to taking action at a personal, community, corporate or national level.
