Group to Deliver #Resist Letter to Trump with 5 Million Global Signatures
Set to install giant wall of messages denouncing Muslim ban at Washington Monument Friday
WHAT: Today international civic group Avaaz will unveil a letter to Trump signed by 5 million people from around the world at the Washington Monument. The letter denouncing Trump's discrimination went viral after President Trump announced his Muslim ban. The group will hold a rally at the Washington Monument on Friday afternoon where a 20-foot wall will be erected with the massive signed letter displayed on it. Hundreds of lights will surround the wall, with crowds writing messages of resistance to Trump’s divisive agenda.
